The day Kelly walked into Children’s Advocacy Center Osceola was one of the hardest days of her life.

Kelly had discovered that her four-year-old daughter had been touched inappropriately by her father, Kelly’s husband. A forensic interview confirmed that the allegations were true. Furthermore, Kelly herself was a survivor of extreme domestic violence. She was at a loss for what to do next.

That day, she met Ilvia, one of our Child Advocates.

Ilvia was able to find Kelly and her family an apartment in a new county where she and her children could feel safe, get her a new phone number, and connect her with a counselor and resources to assist with the divorce process.

Ilvia was able to give Kelly compassion and support on her worst day, empowering her to build a new life.

Today, Kelly and her daughter are healing. Her children are safe and thriving in their new home. Her story is a testament to the strength and resilience of survivors. She is living proof that with the right support, healing is possible.

Last year, Children’s Advocacy Center Osceola served 349 children and their families. We were there to provide compassion, support, and resources. And we need your help to continue to be there.

RISE Community Solutions aims to restore hope, dignity, and a sense of security, empowering individuals to build their self-sufficiency and lead fulfilling lives. Children’s Advocacy Center Osceola is just one of our core programs, providing a compassionate and coordinated community response to abused children in Osceola County, focusing on children who are believed to have been sexually abused.

With a focus on Restoration, Inspiration, Strengthening, and Empowerment, we offer coordinated solutions to help families get ahead of the challenges that can lead to disruption.

I hope you will join us so that we can all RISE together.
